Boston Bruins open new Heritage Hall celebrating franchise history

BOSTON — The Boston Bruins cut the ribbon on a new exhibition celebrating 100 years of the franchise's history.

It's filled with dozens of artifacts, replicas of the Stanley Cup trophy, augmented reality features and a film about the team history that plays on a 30-foot-wide screen. Fans will enter past a wall of 1,690 hockey pucks displayed over the year 1924, symbolizing the year the team was established as the first National Hockey League hockey team in the United States.

The new, permanent museum was created by the Bruins and The Sports Museum, a non-profit organization based at TD Garden. Boston Bruins Heritage Hall will be open during The Sports Museum's normal business hours.
